Kiev militants attack Donetsk city center

The center of the city of Donetsk, the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), came under fire from Kiev militants, Donetsk mayor Aleksey Kulemzin wrote on his Telegram channel on September 18.

Kulemzin wrote that Pushkin Boulevard, located in the city center, was in the risk zone. As the mayor wrote, the explosions occurred near the building of the DPR head, and a direct hit of a Ukrainian shell in the roof of the administrative building was reported.

According to the press service of the DPR’s representative to the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Issues related to the Ukrainian War Crimes , at 2:50 p.m., Kiev militants fired three rockets from an MLRS launcher into Donetsk city.

No information on casualties or the nature of the destruction has been received yet.

Earlier, it was reported that Kiev militants use 155 mm caliber artillery systems, such as US-supplied M777 long-range howitzers, German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery systems, Polish Krab and French CAESAR, to shell residential areas in Donbas.
