As a result of coordinated actions between Russian reconnaissance and artillery crews in the Donetsk direction, a Ukrainian military train with ammunition was destroyed, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry informed on August 29.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a reconnaissance unit of the Russian Armed Forces reported the arrival of the Ukrainian military train with ammunition at the unloading station. According to the coordinates given by the reconnaissance unit, a ground-based missile system launched a precision strike.
“Railway cars with artillery ammunition, about 30 servicemen and up to 10 items of Ukrainian equipment were destroyed as a result of the strike against the Ukrainian military cargo train,” the message reads.
On August 17, the Russian military also destroyed a Ukrainian military train ammunition in Dnepropetrovsk region with a missile strike.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, on August 28, the Russian military repelled two attacks of the Ukrainian assault groups in the Donetsk direction. The enemy lost more than 185 militants, three armored vehicles, a self-propelled artillery unit and a Grad vehicle.
