The head of the institute stressed that the lunar program is in the world space industry’s development trend in the coming years. And Russia should follow this trend, he said.

On August 19, the Russian automatic interplanetary station Luna-25, which was to land on the Moon near the South Pole on August 21, suffered an emergency situation, as a result of which, according to preliminary data from Roscosmos, it descended into an uncalculated orbit, collided with the Moon and crashed.
