Russian soldiers refrain from firing on Ukrainian IFV because of human shield

12.11.2024, Russia.

Russian soldiers had to refrain from firing on a Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicle because the militants used local civilians as a human shield, TASS reported on November 12 referring to the Russian soldiers.

According to TASS, gunners from the Arbat separate special operations battalion refrained from firing on a Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) because the IFV was 60 meters away from local civilians. The use of a human shield was revealed by aerial reconnaissance near the village of Plyokhovo, Kursk Region.

We could not work today because we were informed that civilians were near the target, so we had to withdraw to our shelter,” gun commander with call sign Shani told the journalists.

Previously, a Russian battalion chief of staff with call sign Molot said that the Ukrainian army burnt down houses of civilians in Kursk Region by dropping containers with incendiary mixture from drones.
