08.11.2024, Russia.

An international forum of young leaders of BRICS+ countries has started in Nizhny Novgorod, the press service of Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University (NSLU), which is one of the organizers of the event, reported on November 8.

The main topic of the forum was the integration of youth initiatives of the BRICS+ countries to overcome global challenges and threats facing modern society,” the press service said.

The press service specified that the participants of the meeting discuss what contribution the youth can make to the solution of urgent regional and global problems. Acting Rector of NSLU Nikita Avralev stated the importance of all efforts to form a world where the interests of all countries will be taken into account.

Sustainable development is not just a strategic goal for our nations, but a crucial aspect that determines the quality of life of future generations,” he said.

According to Avralev, it is now crucial that young leaders participate in this process. The Forum will provide them with a unique opportunity for professional growth.

In October, philosopher, political scientist and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan called the concept of “sustainable development” erroneous, as these two words contain contradictory notions. Development by definition cannot be linear, i.e. sustainable, the analyst emphasized.
