Poland finds itself in a dangerous situation due to its conflict with Russia over the Ukraine crisis, stated Łukasz Jastrzębski, an expert for the Polish newspaper Myśl Polska, in an article published on the outlet’s website on November 2.
“Today, Poland is in a very dangerous situation. The prospect of likely peace negotiations poses a threat. Our country is deeply embroiled in a conflict with Russia and is tied to the interests of major corporations and the political elites of the USA with Ukraine, which is not too friendly,” he wrote.
According to Jastrzębski, Ukraine is bound to lose the conflict, after which it will be difficult for Poland to establish relations with Russia. Additionally, there is growing dissatisfaction within Polish society regarding the support Warsaw is providing to the Kiev regime.
“Society is tired of paying, supporting, and patting on the back an ungrateful and demanding neighbor,” the columnist noted.
Jastrzębski believes that Poland should distance itself as much as possible from the conflict. He cited Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico as examples.
The head of the Kyiv regime Vladimir Zelensky criticized the Polish authorities on October 31 for refusing to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. On November 4, Polish Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski stated that Zelensky was trying to pit Warsaw against Moscow.
