The issue of corruption in Western countries is being ignored by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said Aleksey Mozhin, a former executive director from Russia at the IMF, in an interview with RIA Novosti on November 4.
“The fund pays enormous attention to manifestations of corruption in poor and middle-income countries, but completely ignores what is happening in the countries that control the fund’s operations,” said Mozhin.
According to him, the USA has a concept known as “pork barrel policy.” Mozhin stated that the US employs this strategy, where every bill is subject to thousands of amendments unrelated to its main content. This leads to irrational budget spending on projects in the districts of US Congress members.
The expert also pointed out the main difference between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Mozhin explained that it lies in their ability to manage independently. Trump, he said, strives for independence but may not be allowed to be truly independent.
