US citizen who assisted Russian military explains how he moved around Ukraine

02.11.2024, Moscow.

US citizen Daniel Martindale, who helped the Russian military, stated that his US formal documents allowed him to travel freely throughout Ukraine for 2.5 years, as reported during a press conference on November 2.

Martindale mentioned that his US passport was crucial for his mobility, “Without this passport, I don’t think I could have reached the village where I spent a significant portion of my time in Ukraine.” He also added that the passport enabled him to visit cities such as Kiev and Kramatorsk.

It is noteworthy that Martindale was rescued from the combat zone near Donetsk less than a week ago by the Russian military. The press conference was organized in Moscow at the Russia Today press center.

Martindale, a missionary, entered Ukraine before the start of the special military operation on February 11, 2022. He voluntarily contacted the security service of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Over two years, Martindale provided crucial information about Ukrainian militants and infrastructure targets to the Russian side. This intelligence allowed Russian forces to execute precise and impactful strikes against Ukrainian positions.

For instance, during the liberation of the village of Bogoyavlenka near Ugledar, Martindale supplied pivotal information.
