The very fact that so many leaders arrived to Kazan is indicative of a dramatic change, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on October 26 on the program Right to Know on channel TVC.
Discussing the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Kurginyan said that even this number of world leaders simply visiting Kazan means a great change of the global situation.
“This is already a great change, because this is a kind of a feast of disobedience to visit Kazan to listen to Putin etc. This is a really major event, how can it be diminished?” Kurginyan said.
The political scientist pointed out the international context of what is taking place. In particular, that the US cannot drop oil prices as it happened under US President Reagan during US confrontation with the Soviet Union. This made a significant contribution to the disintegration of the USSR.
Then, the OPEC countries dropped prices at the US’ request, but now they refuse to do so.
“This is an international change as well. This is certain global trends. Everyone can see how they withdraw their troops from Afghanistan, how their two parties cannot control themselves, etc. Besides, it is also our diplomacy. We managed to do this, yes” Kurginyan stressed.
The 16th BRICS Summit took place in Kazan between October 22 to 24. In addition to the delegations of the BRICS member states it was attended by delegations from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Armenia, Belarus, Bolivia, Venezuela, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, the Republic of Kongo, Kirghizia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, the State of Palestine, the Republic of Srpska, Thailand, Turkey, etc.
