Israeli Air Force strike on Tyre in Lebanon results in five fatalities

28.10.2024, Beirut.

An Israeli Air Force strike on the Lebanese city of Tyre resulted in the death of five people, Lebanon’s Emergency Situations Center under the Ministry of Health said on October 28.

The strike targeted a building in the Raml neighborhood of Tyre, killing five people and injuring ten others.

Details are still being confirmed, and search-and-rescue operations are ongoing at the site.

Earlier, in late September, Israel conducted extensive strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in Lebanon, during which the group’s leader, Sheikh Nasrallah, was reportedly killed in an airstrike.

In response, Iran launched a retaliatory missile attack on Israeli territory, reporting that 180 ballistic missiles had been fired at military targets.

Israel claimed to have intercepted most of the missiles, resulting in minimal damage.
