Russian soldiers capture “underground town” of Ukrainian armed units

22.10.2024, Moscow.

Assault troops of the Russian Group of Forces Vostok captured a stronghold of the Ukrainian armed units, consisting of fortified underground tunnels, essentially an “underground town”. The Telegram channel Uzel Svyazi wrote this on October 21.

Russian soldiers stealthily approached the target without using vehicles to avoid early detection. They bombarded the positions with grenades and captured the fortifications in close combat.

“The stronghold is a well-constructed network of underground tunnels, and the enemy can only be driven out in close combat,” the statement reads.

It is noted that this is one of the best assault units of the Group of Forces Vostok. They are skilled in using motorcycles, quad bikes, multi-purpose armored vehicles, and armored personnel carriers (APCs). The fighters have captured dozens of Ukrainian strongholds.
