The British Isles are a place with ancient history, and their elites are accustomed to following something quite far from Christian categories, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on September 20 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.
He reminded that the history of Great Britain before the Romans conquered the Isles is apparently associated with the Celts, the Brits, and their cults of Druids. The political scientist told about his memories of his visit to Scotland where a member of the local elite showed him the praying place of then UK prime minister Margaret Thatcher.
“He showed me the megaliths. She said, they come here, they put on white druid priest clothes, and they perform some mysteries,” Kurginyan told.
He added that after the Roman Empire came to the British Isles its members established relations with the local British tribes not on the Christian basis at all, but they could well promote representatives from Rome who worshiped to the Phrygian goddess Cybele. The cult of Cybele, who was believed to be identical to the ancient Greek Mother Goddess Rhea, came to Rome from Asia Minor.
“But the questions is what they came to an agreement on – clearly not on Christianity, right? – this is a very serious question, because it definitely looks like druids with their prayers to respective idols, like Melusine etc., up to the era of Arthur, somehow learned about those Romans who worshiped to Cybele,” Kurginyan explained.
He stressed that the historical horizon of the era of the Brits is not the deepest part of the British history, because there were the Picts before the Brits, who had a state of their own up to the middle of the 9th century, as well as their predecessors, mythical tribes of Tuatha Dé Danann (i.e. the People of the Goddess Danu). According to the political scientist, a detailed study of these roots belongs to one of the founders of the British intelligence John Dee during the rule of Queen Elizabeth I (who governed Great Britain in the second half of the 16th century).
Kurginyan explained that many of these issues may be taken for “Tales from the Vienna Woods,” but for the British elites they can be of much greater importance, which establishes their close ties with Ancient Rome and the cults of the Dark Mother (Cybele), which has always been a deep antithesis to the patriarchic Christianity.
