Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin considers the replacement of Russian airlines’ software with local Russian software to be an extremely important matter. He said this at a meeting with Aeroflot head Sergey Alexandrovsky on October 9.
“At the moment it is critically important to replace software with local Russian software,” Mishustin emphasized.
He heard a report from the head of Aeroflot on how the digital transformation of the airline is taking place.
Mishustin noted that Aeroflot is a leader in the work on software replacement and is an example for other airlines. However, he added that the entire air transportation industry “needs to bring order” in this area.
The Russian Prime Minister also drew Alexandrovsky’s attention to the fact that the industrial operation of the software should be under the personal control of the head of the airline.
“It is important that all systems work as a whole. Of course, this should be dealt with and kept under special control, this is a very important area of work,” Mishustin concluded.
