Kiev loses over 20,800 fighters in combat operations in Kursk Region

Russian Armed Forces eliminated over 20,800 Ukrainian fighters and 136 tanks during combat operations in the border areas of Kursk Region, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on October 6.

“During the entire period of hostilities in the Kursk direction, the enemy has lost more than 20,800 fighters, 136 tanks, 66 infantry fighting vehicles, 98 armored personnel carriers, 885 combat armored vehicles, 584 vehicles, 171 artillery pieces, 33 multiple launch rocket systems, including eight HIMARS and six MLRS made in the USA, nine anti-aircraft missile systems, five transport-loading vehicles, 45 electronic warfare stations, nine counter-battery radar stations, three air defense radar stations, 22 units of engineering and other equipment, including 13 engineering clearance vehicles, one UR-77  mine clearing vehicles, and three armored recovery vehicles,” the statement said.

The ministry noted that the operation to destroy Ukrainian units is ongoing.
