Kurginyan: The British upper class dreams about a return of colonialism and servants

The British upper class dreams about a return of the colonial world, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on September 6 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.

Sergey Kurginyan explained that the UK has its own upper class that formed before the bourgeois era, which “has been smart enough to integrate into the bourgeois era while staying the upper class.” According to the political scientist, this elite has its own idea about life, for example about servants.

Being unable to use servants they got used to as well as other attributes of upper class life makes this elite feel an internal catastrophe, Sergey Kurginyan explained.

The philosopher reminded that a while ago on the Egyptian river bank in the city of Luxor with beautiful British hotels “in the colonial style, sophisticated and stylistically perfect, without that American awkwardness etc.,” British ladies wearing long dresses with parasols were walking. And now you can meet there local beggars asking foreign tourists for some spare change.

Sergey Kurginyan explained that the British upper class believes that “British ladies wearing long dresses with parasols must walk on these quays, and there must be no that scum, the scum must be expelled.”

The UK has its own idea that either this colonial life will return or they do not want to live at all, you see? Unless this upper class life wins life is too boring,” the political scientist concluded.

Someone wants a colonial world again, from which there will be no escape this time, and this someone is heading towards their ultimate global goals in such a slow and merciless manner,” Sergey Kurginyan explained the dream of the old British upper class.
