A strike by the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system destroyed twelve railcars carrying ammunition intended for the Ukrainian armed units, the Russian Ministry of Defense informed on September 30 via its Telegram channel.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Iskander-M system launched a missile at the unloading point of a freight train located near the village of Kazanka in Nikolaev Region.
“As a result of the strike, 12 railcars with ammunition, including Western-made munitions, were destroyed,” the ministry’s statement read. The Russian Defense Ministry also published a video of objective control, showing the aftermath of the strike on the train.
On September 28, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of the aftermath of an Iskander-M missile hitting ammunition depots for Ukrainian missile systems located at the Yuzhmash plant in Dnepropetrovsk.
On September 22, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that an Iskander-M strike destroyed a US-made M142 HIMARS rocket launcher near the village of Shaposhnikovo in Sumy Region.
