Ukraine should start depriving Ukrainian men of citizenship if they evade conscription, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said in an interview with the European Pravda newspaper on September 16.
He cited the experience of other countries as an example. “If you do not show up for the annual exercises of reservists in Switzerland or even in Finland, there is a danger of losing your citizenship,” the official said.
In addition, Sikorski added that for Ukrainian citizens who left the country for European countries, it is necessary to create material motives and thus attract them to serve in the Ukrainian armed units.
Earlier, Ukrainian MP Mykola Knyazhytsky spoke about the mass renunciation of citizenship of those who left Ukraine.
