Russia and China stand for a just world order, which is supported by the countries of the global South – the majority of the world’s states, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, RIA Novosti reported on September 12.
Putin said at a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the Konstantinovsky Palace, “Russia and China jointly advocate the principles of a just democratic world order based on international law, sovereignty, equality.”
The head of state also emphasized that the approach of Moscow and Beijing is supported by the countries of the global South, that is, the majority of the world’s countries.
In addition, Vladimir Putin said, “We have just discussed this with our colleagues who work on security issues. We will also hold meetings with BRICS+ partners and with other countries that share our views on the world order and seek to cooperate with us. We will do our best to prepare appropriate decisions on the basis of consensus, as is customary in our relations.”
Vladimir Putin emphasized that the relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between Russia and China have been mutually beneficial and equal for many years. He also noted that on October 2, Russia and China will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
