The special military operation in Ukraine is the response to possible strikes by the Kiev regime deep into Russian territory with long-range weapons supplied by Western countries, Russian presidential press spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on September 11.

Our response will be an appropriate one. There is no need to expect a tit-for-tat reaction to any measure. The special military operation in Ukraine is a response to all these actions,” Peskov said.

On September 10, the current US President Joe Biden said that Washington is working out the issue of allowing Kiev to use long-range weapons to strike deep into Russian territory.

On September 11, Russian State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said: “Our country will be forced to respond using more powerful and destructive weapons to protect its citizens.

On June 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Moscow reserves the right to supply modern high-precision weapons to countries and structures that oppose the West or individual Western countries.
