Putin says Ukraine weaken its position in the zone of Russia’s special operation

The Ukrainian armed units weakened their positions in the zone of Russia’s special military operation,  Russian President Vladimir Putin said on September 5, speaking at the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum.

The president said the enemy had weakened its positions in key directions in the zone of Russia’s special military operation. The Russian army, on the other hand, has accelerated its offensive operations.

The Ukrainian troops invaded the Kursk region and seized the Russian territory to a depth up to the towns of Sudzha, Lyubimovka, Martynovka.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian militants lost during the invasion of more than 5,800 personnel, 72 tanks, 31 IFVs, 58 APCs, 383 armored combat vehicles, 177 vehicles, 37 artillery pieces, 5 surface-to-air missile systems, 11 multiple rocket launchers.

Experts believe that for this action, the Ukrainian armed units redeployed part of its forces from the main directions of combat operations in the zone of Russia’s special military operation.
