Burkina Faso Prime Minister Apollinaire de Tambèla expressed hope for his country’s inclusion in China’s Belt and Road Initiative, Sidwaya news agency wrote on September 4.
The Burkina Faso Prime Minister made the statement during his official visit to Beijing on the sidelines of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
During a meeting with Wang Huning, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Burkina Faso Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the state of cooperation between his country and China. This, according to him, is facilitated by the projects already implemented or in the process of realization. Among them, he mentioned the construction of Burkina Faso’s largest hospital, which is underway in Haut-Basinsa.
Apollinaire Joachimson Kielem de Tambela expressed hope for the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of air transportation, as well as the inclusion of Burkina Faso in China’s Belt and Road Initiative connecting China to Europe and Africa.
The Chinese model, according to the Burkina Faso Prime Minister, inspires his country to solve development problems.
The China-Africa Cooperation Forum is taking place in Beijing from September 4 to 6.
