Units of the Russian Armed Forces have liberated two settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic from the Kiev occupants, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry said on September 4.
The press service said that the active actions of the units of the Center and East groups of the Russian army “liberated the settlements of Karlovka and Prechistovka in the DPR”.
The village of Karlovka is located just over 14 kilometers from the Kiev-controlled village of Selidovo in the west of the Donetsk people’s republic. The Ukrainian army shelled the western parts of the cities of Donetsk and Makeyevka from the area of this settlement.
The settlement of Prechistovka, a small village located almost 13 kilometers west of the town of Ugledar, was an important supply point for Ukrainian armed units located near the town and was a de facto outpost to counter the encirclement of Ugledar.
