Mongolian President accepts Putin’s invitation to attend BRICS+ Summit

The leader of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh accepted the invitation of Russian President Putin to attend the BRICS+ summit in Kazan on September 3 during the talks between the leaders of the two countries.

The BRICS+ summit will be held in Kazan in October 2024. President Putin invited Khürelsükh to come to the summit, and the latter accepted the invitation.

President Putin arrived in Mongolia on a visit on September 2. The visit is timed to the anniversary of the fighting on the Khalkhin-Gol River in 1939, when Soviet and Mongolian troops defeated the Japanese army.

The Russian leader was invited to Mongolia by its President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh.
