More than 2 thousand came to commemorate the victims of the terrorist attack in Beslan

More than two thousand residents and guests of North Ossetia commemorated the victims of the terrorists who seized a school in Beslan on September 1, 2004, TASS wrote on September 1, citing a source in the republic’s Interior Ministry.

“More than 1,600 people visited the school in Beslan, more than 650 were at the City of Angels cemetery. People continue to come,” the statement reads.

According to the statement, people wishing to commemorate the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack came to the destroyed gym of School No. 1 in a continuous stream. People carried toys and water to the schoolyard in memory of the fact that the terrorists did not allow their hostages to drink water.

The mourning ceremony in honor of the twenty years since the tragedy began with a meeting of surviving students and teachers of the school, who were captured by the terrorists. In the hands of the survivors were photos of those who could not be saved.

Delegations from Italy, Turkey, Kazakhstan, France, and the United States also came to commemorate the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack.
