The ingredients of the coups d’états that the United States is organizing around the world are hypocritical statements about violating democracy, creating an economic crisis through sanctions and corrupting the army, political scientist, philosopher and leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on August 9 on the Conversation with a Sage program on the Zvezda radio channel.
Kurginyan discussed the situation in Venezuela after the presidential election. He noted that the United States, as usual, expresses indignation with Venezuela’s alleged anti-democratic nature and blames Maduro for it. At the same time, the USA exerts pressure on the Bolivarian Republic with economic sanctions. But Washington’s main bet is on corrupting the army so that it will carry out a pro-US coup.
The political scientist pointed out that the US elites are busy only bribing and corrupting the army under the pretext of democracy. And part of the Venezuelan army is directly under the influence of the United States, having been educated at the US academy at West Point and having built direct corrupt ties with the US elites and military.
“At some point, the establishing of close ties with the army reaches a peak, the army gets enough money, sanctions create a crisis, and the media howls about terrible crimes and absolute anti-democracy. The combination of howling, crisis and a corrupt army creates a coup,” Kurginyan said.
The political scientist stressed that this scheme of organizing a coup d’état is used not only for Latin American. According to him, the USA “churned out such coups.” The three components mentioned above have worked and continue to work in this sense.
