Up to 7,000 militants were lost by the Ukrainian Armed Units during the attack on the territory of Kursk Region, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported on August 28.
“In total, the enemy lost up to 7,000 servicemen during the fighting in the Kursk direction,” the report said. Kiev is also reported to have lost 74 tanks, 35 BMPs, 562 armored personnel carriers and armored vehicles, as well as other military equipment, including four HIMARS MLRS and one MLRS.
According to the Defense Ministry, the Ukrainian troops lost up to 380 servicemen and one tank in the last day alone.
According to eyewitnesses, the attacking formations in the Kursk region included many mercenaries from European and other countries.
