The Russian Armed Forces carried out a strike at the deployment point of Ukrainian pilots in Starokonstantinov in Khmelnitsky Region, RIA Novosti reports citing Sergey Lebedev, the coordinator of the pro-Russian underground.
“The strike hit a facility where pilots who are undergoing training with foreign instructors have been stationed,” Lebedev said.
The strikes were aimed at the site of the military airfield, added the coordinator. According to him, besides the aircraft, the ammunition was stored there tooincluding long-range air-to-ground missiles supplied by the West, which Ukraine uses for strikes on Crimea.
Lebedev also noted that there was an accurate strike at the facility where foreign officers were regularly stationed. Presumably, these were high-ranking military since helicopters were used for their evacuation.
In addition, according to Lebedev, there were strikes at the ammunition depot facilities that were built during the Soviet times for the purpose of storing nuclear weapons.
