Fifteen regions of Ukraine were subjected to a massive attack by the Russian Armed Forces, the country’s Prime Minister Denis Shmygal wrote on August 26 on his Telegram channel.
He also reported that energy infrastructure facilities in several regions of Ukraine were damaged as a result of the strikes. He did not specify which facilities were damaged or where they were located.
“Energy infrastructure. Unfortunately, there is damage in several regions,” the message reads.
Shmygal noted that the strikes were deliberately aimed at Ukraine’s energy system. The company Ukrenergo was forced to implement emergency power outages to stabilize the energy system.
According to the online map of Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, at present, the air raid alert continues across the entire territory of the former USSR, except for the Odessa region.
