The volunteer brigade “Española” has created an assault motorcycle battalion for rapid movement on the battlefield and delivering supplies to the frontlines, said the unit’s commander Stanislav Orlov, call sign Ispanets, on August 24, according to TASS.
The brigade commander said that the unit immediately started looking for unconventional approaches to solving combat tasks.
“Starting with an ordinary assault company, the assault moto battalion, under the cover of electronic warfare, can break through into enemy territory,” Ispanets said.
Motorcycles are also used to deliver necessary supplies to the frontlines. “Currently, we mainly deliver provisions and ammunition this way,” Orlov added.
The “Española” brigade was created in 2022, and it includes football fans from the clubs “Zenit,” “Lokomotiv,” “Spartak,” CSKA, and others who are fighting against Ukraine.
