Soldiers of the Ural motorized rifle unit of the Tsentr Group of Forces captured a Ukrainian stronghold southwest of Ocheretino on the Avdeevka direction, the Russian Defense Ministry said on August 20.
The operation was directed by the battalion commander with the call sign “Chita” from a fortified command post.
Round-the-clock surveillance by reconnaissance drones and real-time delivery of operational information, including video, to the command center allowed the capture to be carried out with minimal forces in the shortest possible time.
“Successfully pressuring, applying FPVs, drops and artillery. The task is being accomplished in a decent manner. Every day we capture some section or area of the enemy’s defense,” Chita said.
