Russian Armed Forces block Ugledar from the northeast, cutting off supplies to Ukrainian armed units

18.08.2024, Ugledar.

A powerful breakthrough by Russian forces near Ugledar in the Donetsk People’s Republic cut off the supply routes of the Ukrainian armed units, as reported by Military Review on August 18.

As a result of the offensive by the Russian Armed Forces, Ukrainian militants were pushed out of the fortified area near the ventilation shaft of the Yuzhno-Donbasskaya 1 mine.

After this, the Russian army continued their advance, crossing the road connecting Ugledar with Konstantinovka, and moved more than a kilometer towards Vodyanoye. This led to the logistics blockade for the Ugledar grouping of Ukrainian armed units in the northeastern part of the town.

In the Ugledar direction, Russian forces managed to capture the area near the ventilation shaft of the Yuzhno-Donbasskaya 1 mine, covering a section up to 353 km wide and up to 212 km deep.
