Russian soldiers have knocked out the militants who had seized the village of Snagost in the Kursk region, the Telegram channel Mash reported on August 16.
“Now there is a cleanup operation going on there. At night, serious combat was also in the village of Krupets in the Rylsky district. Another attack was repulsed in the village of Glushkovo”, – stated in the message.
According to journalists, Russian fighters are also clearing the settlements of Ozerki and Kamyshnoye. In addition, artillerymen hit the Ukrainian paratroopers in the village of Spalnoye.
The Ukrainian units’ losses in the Kursk region since the start of the attack, according to data as of August 15, have reached 2,640 people and hundreds of pieces of equipment. On August 16, the Defense Ministry reported the suppression of an attempt to transfer reinforcements to Ukrainian troops in the region.
