Russian Foreign Ministry: Kiev receives carte blanche from the West to commit atrocities against Russian citizens

16.08.2024, Moscow.

Kiev has received carte blanche from its Western handlers to commit atrocities against Russian civilians, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement in connection with the shelling of a shopping mall in Donetsk, published on its website on August 16.

The despicable attack on the shopping mall is a carefully planned act of terrorism by Ukrainian neo-Nazis,” the statement said.

Diplomats noted that this terrorist action represents a gesture of desperation of the Kiev regime against the backdrop of the steady advance of Russian troops. The task of such attacks is to kill civilians and spread panic.

It is obvious that Kiev has been given carte blanche by its Western handlers to commit as many atrocities against civilians as possible in order to shake up stability inside our country,” the Foreign Ministry emphasized.

In the afternoon of August 16, the Ukrainian militants shelled the Galaxy shopping mall in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, which was filled with visitors. A heavy fire started in the building. At the time of the Kiev regime’s terrorist attack, more than a hundred people were in the shopping mall, there were many children there. The area of the fire exceeded 10 thousand square meters. There is no information about the number of victims yet.
