More than 900 tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered to Kursk region by the Russian Emergencies Ministry

More than 900 tons of humanitarian goods have been delivered to the districts of the Kursk region, said Alexey Smirnov, acting governor of the region, in his Telegram-channel on August 14.

Over the day, 57 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to the region through the Emergency Ministry, to the date total amount of goods – more than 900 tons,” Smirnov noted.

He specified that on August 14, the People’s Front warehouse, which operates in round-the-clock mode, received 407 tons of cargo. They include food, hygiene products, household chemicals and others. Over 20 thousand humanitarian kits were distributed to the municipalities of the Kursk region.

In addition, Smirnov said that at the moment about 8 thousand people, including more than 2 thousand children, are now in temporary accommodation centers.
