Ukraine’s actions in Kursk Region have made any development of the topic of Moscow’s peace talks with Kiev impossible in the foreseeable future, Russian Foreign Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik said during a briefing on August 14.
“There is a statement that it is precisely by terrorist actions in the Kursk direction that Ukraine has at least put the track related to peace talks on a long-term pause,” the diplomat said.
A little earlier, Akhmat special forces commander Major General Apty Alaudinov spoke about Kiev’s plans to seize the Kursk nuclear power plant by August 11 in order to be able to give Russia an ultimatum during negotiations.
