Four tactical missiles and 117 aircraft-type drones were destroyed by Russian air defense forces over the past night over Russian territory, the Russian Defense Ministry’s press service said in its Telegram channel on August 14.
“During the past night, four tactical missiles and 117 airplane-type UAVs were destroyed by on-duty air defense forces during the Kiev regime’s attempt to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles and Tochka-U tactical missiles against facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation,” the report said.
According to the agency, 37 UAVs and four tactical missiles were shot down over the territory of the Kursk region overnight, 37 UAVs over the Voronezh region, 17 UAVs over the Belgorod region, 11 UAVs over the Nizhny Novgorod region, 9 UAVs over the Volgograd region, 3 drones over the Bryansk region, 2 drones over the Orel region and one over the Rostov region.
The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that on the night of August 12-13, air defense on duty destroyed 14 UAVs of the aircraft type: twelve over the Kursk region, one over the Belgorod region and one over the Voronezh region.
