A unit of one of the mechanized formations in Belarus has been brought to alertness for combat missions, the press service of the Republic’s Defense Ministry reported on August 11.
“The servicemen are loading military equipment on the railway transport and proceed to march in a combined way to the designated areas,” the report says.
It is noted that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Belarus, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko gave instructions to strengthen the grouping of troops in the territories bordering Ukraine to be ready to respond to any possible provocations.
On August 10, Lukashenko said that striking Ukrainian drones were shot down over the territory of Belarus. He promised that any provocations would not go unanswered.
