Russia tests new mobile satellite communication system in the zone of special military operation

07.08.2024, Moscow.

Representatives of the Russian military-industrial complex began the testing of a new satellite communication system on the front line, RIA Novosti wrote on August 6.

The system can be operated by a crew of one or two people. The entire complex, along with its peripheral equipment, fits into a backpack and can be carried by a single person.

A representative of the military-industrial complex with the call sign “Kaskad” noted a trend towards the miniaturization of electronic devices on the front line. Large complexes are quickly identified and destroyed.

Kaskad also mentioned a mobile electronic reconnaissance system that can be carried by two soldiers and set up anywhere within five minutes. It can register and calculate the coordinates of enemy electronic devices and promptly transmit the information to the commander to make decisions on artillery strikes or further reconnaissance using UAVs.
