Niger is severing diplomatic relations with Ukraine, the France-Presse agency wrote on August 6.
“The government of Niger has announced an immediate break in diplomatic relations with Ukraine,” the statement reads.
Earlier, Mali announced a break in diplomatic relations with Ukraine. The Ukrainian Foreign Minister called this decision short-sighted and hasty.
At the end of July, it became known that a column of the private military company Wagner was ambushed in Mali. The ambush was set by militants of the Islamist movement. It was revealed that Tuareg rebels in Mali had received information from Kiev necessary for the attack on the PMC fighters.
