Ukrainian armed units, surrounded in the village of Novgorodskoye (Ukrainian name New York) near Gorlovka, are suffering heavy losses while attempting to break out, TASS informed on August 6, citing data from security forces.
“On the eastern outskirts of New York, the enemy is in panic and trying to withdraw its troops,” the agency quoted the interlocutor as saying.
He added that Ukrainian soldiers are massively dying under heavy fire while attempting to break through.
On August 2, the Russian Defense Ministry informed that Russian troops had liberated five villages in the Donetsk People’s Republic within a week: Lozovatskoye, Progress, Yevgenovka, Volchye, and Leninskoye. On August 4, they liberated the village of Novoselovka Pervaya.
