Cooperation between Iran and Russia will contribute to strengthening security and peace worldwide, said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu, IRNA wrote on August 5.
“The common positions and cooperation between Iran and Russia aimed at promoting multipolarity in the world will undoubtedly help to strengthen security and peace globally,” said Pezeshkian.
Shoigu also met with the head of Iran’s General Staff, Mohammad Bagheri. Bagheri noted that Iran welcomes trilateral cooperation between Iran, Russia, and China.
“We will welcome trilateral cooperation between Iran, Russia, and China,” said Bagheri.
He emphasized that the change of government in Iran will not affect the depth of the country’s strategic relations with Russia.
