Russian Foreign Ministry: Moscow will make no more unilateral concessions and gestures

04.08.2024, Moscow.

No unilateral concessions to Washington will suit Moscow, only “quid pro quo” arrangements are possible, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said on August 4 on the air of Russia 1 TV channel.

The time of Moscow’s unilateral concessions is irrevocably in the past, never in the future, even under the best of circumstances in our relations with NATO, with the EU, which is hard to think of now, but even in these situations, no unilateral concessions from our side will be granted to the West,” Ryabkov said.

According to him, any handouts, gifts, concessions and gestures designed to placate Washington are excluded. If the US attempts to impose something that is favorable only to them, such agreements will not take place.

The only option of agreements is “quid pro quo,” said Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation. He emphasized that the Americans understand the conversation in such a way.
