EW system for “hunting” UAV operators created in Russia

25.04.2024, Moscow.

A system for “hunting” Ukrainian UAV operators, Kobra, has been created in Russia and has already started undergoing tests, the system’s developer and the creator of the Volnorez mobile electronic warfare system said on July 25.

“We have developed and have already started testing the Kobra system, which is designed to search for enemy UAV operators. The development can calculate the signal of the UAV operators of the Ukrainian armed units and their repeaters and put their coordinates on the map in real-time,” the Kobra’s developer said.

The developer said that the size of the product is about the size of a PSP game console, making it convenient and easy to use.

UAV operators are now among the highest priority targets on the frontline, and they are very hard to detect. The developer said the system is not yet ready for mass production but is already being prepared for operation in the zone of Russia’s special military operation.

After being tested in combat operations, the device will be finalized and then put into serial production.
