An international group was involved in the terrorist attack against people in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, the head of Rosfinmonitoring Yuriy Chikhanchin said on July 16, speaking in the Russian Federation Council.
According to the expert, the group included Russian citizens as well as representatives of Central Asian and European countries.
“I can say that unequivocally it is an international group with representatives of different countries. These were representatives of Central Asian countries, European countries, and there were many Russians there,” Chikhanchin said.
On March 22, 2024, militants entered Crocus and started shooting at people, then the building was set on fire. As a result of the terrorist attack, 144 people were killed and more than 550 were injured.
