Stoltenberg accuses China of fueling conflict in Europe

01.07.2024, Tokio.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg accused China of fueling conflict in Europe in an interview on July 1 with the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun.

“China is inciting the biggest conflict in Europe since World War II,” the NATO secretary general told the Japanese newspaper.

Stoltenberg specified that he sees incitement in the form of Chinese supplies to Russia of a number of dual-use items, including electronic components.

This is not the first attempt to make such accusation against China. Chinese Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Qian previously refuted them. He also called on NATO to stop blackmailing China with threats of a nuclear strike.
