Czech Prime Minister: Ammunition purchased under Czech initiative is already arrived in Ukraine

25.06.2024, Prague.

The first batch of ammunition purchased under the Prague initiative has already arrived in Ukraine, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala wrote on his X account on June 25.

“The first batch of ammunition within the framework of our initiative arrived in Ukraine some time ago,” he said.

The politician emphasized that his country was doing everything possible to provide assistance.

In February, the Czech president said that Prague had found an opportunity to buy hundreds of thousands of shells for Kiev in third countries, but it needs funds and suggested that other countries join the initiative.

On 24 June, Czech Defence Minister Jana Cernohova said that Ukraine would receive the first batch of ammunition under this initiative in early July.
