Rheinmetall wants to produce Leopard tank and Skyranger air defense hybrids at a plant in Ukraine, a representative of the German concern told Bild am Sonntag on June 17.
According to him, there are many Leopard 1 tanks, on whose chassis it is possible to install turrets from Skyranger with 35 mm gun.
He said that the concern’s factory, which is located in western Ukraine, is mainly engaged in repairing Leopard 1 tanks and Marder BMPs that were broken during the combat, but soon it will repair Leopard 2 and tanks of other countries that were handed over to the AFU.
