Iranian ex-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a combination of ostentatious anti-Semitism/anti-Zionism and hatred towards Russia playing into the hands of the USA, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher and political scientist Sergey Kurginyan wrote in his article for the Essence of Time newspaper of May 27.
“Ahmadinejad has successfully combined this ostentatious anti-Semitism/anti-Zionism with hatred towards Russia in all its incarnations, including the one that was loved so much (and sometimes quite sincerely) by our naive ultra-patriots predisposed to see a supporter in anyone who speaks about anti-Semitic violence,” Sergey Kurginyan noted.
According to the political scientist, this politician can be called the most anti-Russian Iranian president of the recent decades, at least because Ahmadinejad called the USSR and then Russia “the little Satan.”
The leader of Essence of Time notes that after his retirement in 2013 the Iranian ex-president has been strongly escalating the issue of Stalin’s famine genocide on the Iranian territory that was allegedly made by the authorities of the USSR in 1941 when the Soviet troops were present in Iran. And after the beginning of the Special Military Operation it was Kiev whom Ahmadinejad supported.
“As early as on March 2, 2022 Ahmadinejad expressed passionate support to Ukraine and Zelensky in the context of Russia’s Special Military Operation in Ukraine, which he called a crime,” Kurginyan reminds.
The political scientist notes that since the fall of 2021 the contacts of the Iranian ex-president with the US security services and other kinds of elites are not hidden anymore.
“It has become obvious that Ahmadinejad quite consistently attacks Russia and its struggle against the Bandera Nazis, and that he in fact pursues the policy that the USA needs so much. And it makes no difference that he pursues this policy under an anti-Zionist, anti-Semitic, and even anti-US guise,” Sergey Kurginyan explained.
According to the political scientist, the US political technologists do not care that the Iranian politician’s statements mention evil Americans as well as evil Russians. The philosopher believes that the most important thing for them is that such a high-ranking official in principle speaks about evil Russians and wonderful Ukraine.
On June 2 it became known that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad came forward as candidate for early presidential elections in Iran after President Raisi’s helicopter crashed.
