The Ukrainian armed units launched a missile strike on Lugansk. The Russian Defense Ministry wrote this on June 7.
“Five ATACMS missiles manufactured by the United States were purposefully used to strike at a residential area of the city of Lugansk,” the statement said.
According to the ministry, the missile attack began at 11:00 a.m. Moscow time. At the same time, some of the missiles were shot down by Russian air defense forces. However, one of the missiles hit a five-story apartment building in Lugansk. As a result, one of the building’s entrances completely collapsed.
According to the Ministry of Health of the Lugansk People’s Republic, about 50 people were injured, and four were killed. 46 people were taken to the hospital, including four children. At least ten injured are in hospitals in the city in serious condition.
Two schools, a college, several university buildings and three kindergartens were also damaged as a result of the Ukrainian missile attack in the city.
