“Took French leave” – Polish ambassador leaves restaurant over questions about Ukraine

05.06.2024, Yekaterinburg.

Uncomfortable questions addressed to the Polish ambassador by his own compatriot during his visit to Yekaterinburg caused the sudden end of the meal in a restaurant, Telegram channel URALLIVE wrote on June 4.

Polish Ambassador Krzysztof Krajewski arrived on an unofficial visit to Yekaterinburg on Tuesday and decided to have lunch at a local restaurant, but there he met Polish anti-fascist activist Marcin Mikolajek.

Mikolajek wasted no time and asked the ambassador why Poland was sending its fighters to fight in Ukraine. There was no answer, and the diplomat decided it was time to leave the restaurant.

The next question – about the number of Poles killed on the Ukrainian front – Krajewski also ignored, and his guards “professionally evacuated the diplomat,” the source notes.
